I'm talking about the wholesale replacement of Lightroom's DAM for Luminar's. NOT interested in those marrying the two together and using Luminar as an Adobe plugin. ![]() I'd be interested in the opinions of those who have left Lightroom Catalogs behind for Luminar's Library. Have a look at our current features and how to. It manages your digital negatives in a database, lets you view them through a zoomable lighttable and enables you to develop raw images and enhance them. A virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers. For a variety of reasons, I'm willing to accelerate my planned timeline and begin the process of leaving Lightroom immediately, rather than waiting for another version of Luminar with the two-years-promised metadata functionality. darktable is an open source photography workflow application and raw developer. The Library is not where I need it to be, but it's close enough if I can find a way to live without keywords, metadata, collections, etc. ![]() ![]() (I'll continue to use other tools for highly specialized astrophotography shots.) Luminar 4's editor is where I need it to be now to justify the migration, at least for most of my photos. I'd like to move off Lightroom once and for a while.
